Morocco's Government Chief Hold Talks with Italian Defense Minister

The meeting was an opportunity to highlight the long-standing bilateral ties, The Government Chief department said in a statement, noting that both countries have expressed their common will to boost bilateral military and economic cooperation.

It also shed lights on the security situation and the means to promote peace and stability in North Africa and Middle East, the same source added.

In this respect, the Italian minister praised the Kingdom's initiatives to promote stability and build dialogue bridges between different partners.

Both parties stressed the importance of the humanitarian dimension in bilateral relations, especially concerning the Moroccan community in Italy, which represents the first foreign economic power in the European country.
