Morocco on Way to Become Major Islamic Training Hub'
Washington - Thanks to the numerous initiatives launched by Morocco in the field of the training of Imams and religious scholars in line with a tolerance-based religious model, Morocco is on the way to become a "major Islamic training hub," Abdelmaled Alaoui wrote in an article published on Forbes Magazine.

By offering training to Imams from different countries, the Kingdom spreads the "Islam of the middle path doctrine," based on tolerance, intercultural dialogue and respect of other faiths, writes Alaoui.
The author of the article recalls the recent inauguration in Rabat by HM King Mohammed VI of a center for the training of Imams and scholars from Morocco and abroad, the Mohammed VI Institute for the training of Imams, Morchidines and Morchidates.
Through such initiatives, Morocco offers tools of "early detection of extremism" , says the article.
Alaoui highlightes that through such initiatives Morocco is furthering its influence through "soft power" means that are the subject of study by renowned universities and global think tanks.
