Washington - Morocco, which has "graciously" opened its doors to host the 5th Global Entrepreneurship Summit (next November), has shown its "shared commitment" to promoting entrepreneurship in Africa and around the world, said Tuesday the US Department of State.

This fifth annual Summit will convene thousands of participants on November 19-21 in Marrakech and will highlight the impact of technology on modern entrepreneurship, the source added in statement.
The 2014 Summit takes place during Global Entrepreneurship Week, making it the largest of the thousands of entrepreneurship events taking place around the world that week, the statement points out, noting that it is being held in Africa for the first time.
The theme of the Summit, "Harnessing the Power of Technology for Innovation and Entrepreneurship," explores the positive impact of technology on innovation and entrepreneurship.
In a joint statement adopted at a meeting held in Washington between HM King Mohammed VI and US president Barack Obama in November 2013, the US chief executive expressed appreciation to the Sovereign for offering to host the 2014 Global Entrepreneurship Summit.
