Paris - Under the leadership of HM King Mohamed VI to address the many challenges facing the modern world and in the context of regional crises, Morocco devised a global project aimed at a greater political, social and economic development and a dynamic diplomacy, said Charles Saint-Prot, director of the Observatory of Geopolitical Studies in Paris (OEG) in Paris.
Morocco, emergent country and diplomatic power
The first fifteen years of the reign of HM King Mohamed VI are marked by a modernization process of the country in accordance with the Kingdom's traditions and identity, as well as key achievements in the political, socio-economic and diplomatic areas, the French expert told MAP.

Politically, these years have been placed under the theme of strengthening institutions which are adapted to a continuously-changing world and the consolidation of the rule of law that respects national and international laws and civil, political, human, social and cultural rights of citizens, noted Saint-Prot, explaining that one must understand the concept of the rule of law in its broadest sense and within the framework of a modern, responsible and popular monarchy.

The monarchy has been the driving force in economy and social development, stressed the French expert, recalling that Morocco is an open country which enables the Kingdom to rise to global and sustainable development challenges.

Concerning diplomacy, the OEG director said that HM King Mohammed VI, who pragmatically and realistically manages the Sahara conflict, has taken a step ahead, recalling that in 2007, while the situation was deadlocked, Morocco, with a strong national consensus, took the initiative by proposing an autonomy plan that all superpowers consider as the only way out from this artificial conflict.
