Morocco determined to develop tools to counter nuclear terrorism, FM

Morocco's adherence to international conventions on reinforcing nuclear security, adjusting its laws in the field and exercises organized by the Kingdom in partnership with several countries and international organizations, including the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), are all actions that testify to Morocco's strong commitment to peace and nuclear security, Mezouar told MAP following his participation in the Hague in the 3rd summit on nuclear security.

 

All these actions mirror Morocco's involvement in the process initiated by the first summit on nuclear security given the threats and new challenges facing the world, he added.

 

The Moroccan official underlined that Morocco's commitment enables it to play a pivotal role in terms of coordination and sharing expertize and information at the regional and continental levels, noting that the aim is to contribute to reinforcing cooperation and regional security.
