Morocco, UK sign partnership protocol to promote British exports
Casablanca - A partnership protocol aimed at boosting British exports to Morocco was signed Wednesday in Casablanca.

Signed by the president of the British Chamber of Commerce in Morocco Mohamed Raihani and British ambassador to Morocco Clive Alderton, this agreement is intended to establish B2B relations between Moroccan and British companies in order to promote the marketing of British products in Morocco.

Under this partnership protocol, Moroccan SMEs will be able to establish direct relations with British companies, Raihani said during the signing ceremony, noting that the British Chamber of Commerce in Morocco is now the third African Chamber to be involved in such partnerships with British companies.

British ambassador said for his part that this agreement "is likely to strengthen trade between the two countries and facilitate access to the Moroccan market for British companies and vice versa", adding that the goal is to triple British exports to Morocco by 2018 which hit GBP 1 billion in 2012.
