Morocco, UK have important business potentialities in renewable energy field

Rabat - Morocco and the UK share a lot of partnership opportunities in the field of renewable energy, said on Monday in Rabat British PM's Special Trade Envoy to Morocco Lord Sharman.

The British official, who is on a two-day working visit to Morocco along with a delegation of experts in renewable energy and energy efficiency, underlined the importance of the B-to-B meeting between Moroccan and British businessmen which will lead to the conclusion of commercial and technological partnerships.

The British trade delegation includes representatives of leading companies in oil production and prospecting, solar and wind energy and biogas, he said, highlighting UK's know-how put at Morocco's disposal.

British ambassador in Rabat Clive Alderton stressed the relevance of the said meeting, adding that the UK is a leading country in wind energy production and could help Morocco achieve goals set in its national energy strategy.
