Morocco Takes Part in 5th Meeting of AMU Interior Ministers
Nouakchott - Interior Minister Mohamed Hassad arrived on Thursday in Nouakchott to take part in the 5th session of the Council of the Interior Minister of the Arab Maghreb Union (AMU).
The meeting will focus on security issues facing the Maghreban countries and the region as well as the means to bolster cooperation in the fight against terrorism, arms and drug trafficking, organized crime, cyber criminality, illegal immigration and human trafficking.
The Maghreban Interior Ministers will also examine joint initiatices to counter security threats in line with the latest meetings on security in the Maghreb known as the statement of Algiers of July 9, 2012 and the statement of Rabat April 21, 2014.
