Morocco Stresses Need for Joint Action in Elaborating Arab Social Charter
Rabat - President of Social, Economic and Environmental Council (CESE) Nizar Baraka underscored, on Monday in Rabat, the need for joint action in the process of elaborating an Arab Social Charter that meets the aspirations of Arab peoples to development and dignified living conditions.

Baraka made the statement at a press briefing following a meeting in Rabat that ended with the announcement to create a league of Arab social and economic councils and similar institutions.

During the meeting, Baraka said that the league will play a leading role in promoting participatory democracy and diffusing conflict between the different actors in society.

In this regard, Baraka stressed the need for encouraging social dialogue as an indispensable mechanism to reach compromises between the society actors in a way that is conducive to social cohesion in Arab speaking countries.
