Morocco, South Korea Discuss Ways to Boost Energy Cooperation

Rabat - Morocco's Minister of Energy, Mines, Water and Environment, Abdelkader Amara, and South Korea's Ambassador to Morocco, Park Dong Sil, discussed, here Tuesday, the means to boost bilateral cooperation in the field of energy.
The important presence of South Korean companies in Morocco, particularly in energy and phosphate sectors, contributes to Moroccan industry development, Sil told MAP, expressing his country's commitment to reinforce bilateral cooperation in various fields.

For his part, Amara hailed the "excellent" relations between Rabat and Seoul, highlighting the role of South Korean companies in further reinforcing Moroccan-South Korean relations.

He also added that South Koreans have important expertise in energy and construction sectors.

The two parties also expressed their commitment to enhance dialogue on topics of mutual interest. 

Moroccan-South Korean cooperation is governed by the joint committee established by economic, scientific and technical cooperation agreement signed in Seoul on May 22nd, 1976.
