Morocco Praises 'Calm Atmosphere' of Tunisia Elections

Rabat - Morocco praised, Tuesday, the calm atmosphere that marked Tunisia's parliamentary elections, which took place last Sunday.

Morocco extends its congratulations to Tunisia, government and people, for the success of the electoral process which constitutes an important stage in the democratic transition process, the Foreign ministry said in a statement.

"Praising this milestone in the history of modern Tunisia, which would consolidate the democratic process and usher in a new era, the Kingdom of Morocco reiterates its total support for this brother country to achieve its aspirations for prosperity, development and peace, continue its path of development and build the bases of its institutions on the path of a singular and exemplary process of democratic transition", the statement added.
