Morocco, France sign three agreements in sanitary, phytosanitary and agricultural training fields
These agreements were signed at a meeting chaired by Minister of Agriculture and Fisheries, Aziz Akhannouch and French counterpart, Stéphane Le Foll, in the presence of deputy minister for Agri-business Guillaume Garot.

The first agreement relates to study abroad programs and internships in farms in France for students of agricultural training institutions.

The second provides for using French expertise to accompany the restructuring of the Moroccan system of education and vocational training in agriculture.

The third agreement, signed by the National Office of Safety of Food Products (ONSSA) and the French Directorate General of Food (EB), covers sanitary and phytosanitary cooperation.

These agreements are part of the efforts to establish a sustainable partnership in common interest areas of both countries, especially in the fields of agriculture, rural development and agri-business. Minister Akhannouch began on Monday a working visit to France during which he will chair with minister Le Foll the first French- Moroccan agricultural joint commission.SE
