Morocco, France sign partnership agreement for development of aeronautics vocational training

Marrakech-Ménara airport - A partnership agreement on the development of aeronautics vocational training was signed, on Thursday in Marrakech, on the sidelines of the Marrakech Air Show 2014, April 23-26.

The agreement was signed by minister delegate for national education and vocational training Abdeladim El Guerrouj, president of Moroccan aeronautic industries grouping (GIMAS) and of the Institute of aeronautics training (IMA) Mohamed Hamid Benbrahim El Andalousi, the president of metallurgical industries union Frederic Saint-Geours and director of France development agency (AFD) in Morocco Joel Daligault.

It is part of the implementation of the agreement signed on April 2, during the presentation of the 2014-2024 industrial plan, under the chairmanship of HM the King, concerning the extension of the IMA.

This partnership will enable to carry out a study on the extension dimensioning through the identification of needs for employment, competences and training in the aeronautical industry.

The parties involved in this project are committed to pooling efforts of expertize and financial support to implement the technical assistance phases to ensure the success of the IMA's extension. The AFD will grant up to 500,000 euros for the project.
