Morocco Elected Member of ALO Board of Directors

Cairo - Morocco was elected, here Wednesday, member of the Board of Directors of the Arab Labor Organization (ALO), on the sidelines of the Arab Labor conference.

The ALO Board of Directors, which includes eight members, representing governments, employers and workers, aims to monitor the implementation of the decisions and recommendations of the Arab Labor conference, specialized committees and meetings of the organization experts.
 
On this occasion, Secretary General of the Moroccan Labor Union (UMT), Miloud Moukharik said the election of Morocco, in his person, as a member of the board of directors reflects the position and respect enjoyed by the kingdom and its unions among ALO members. 
 
In this regard, he noted the pioneering role of Moroccan Unions in the Arab Labor Organization. 
 
Senior government, employers' and workers' delegations from the Arab Labour Organization's 21 Member States are attending the annual conference, held on 14-21 September in Cairo.
 
Key panel sessions focus on building consensus around the "Arab Cooperation Prospects to Support Employment" and "The Second Arab Forum for Development and Employment". 
 
Participants also discuss the effective implementation of the resolutions adopted at the 2013 Arab Labor Conference in Algeria.
