The minister, who received Tuesday in Rabat the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice-President of the European Commission, Federica Mogherini, said at a press conference after this meeting, that this visit, the first of Ms Mogherini to the Kingdom, is part of the consolidation of the privileged relationship between the two parties and "confirms our shared commitment to strengthen our strategic, dense and multidimensional partnership".

Mezouar also noted that the Kingdom and the EU have agreed to work towards strengthening their partnership, particularly through the continuation of political consultations on the issues of peace, security, counter terrorism, democracy and human rights promotion, development and the forthcoming signing of the Agreement on Morocco's participation in crisis management operations.

During the meeting, the ongoing reflection on the revision of the European Neighborhood Policy (ENP) to which Morocco contributes positively and constructively was also discussed, the minister said, noting that Morocco "hails the inclusive approach adopted by the EU as part of this review".

In this regard, he underlined that Morocco expressed the hope that the revised ENP will be a carrier of an ambitious political vision and a strategic horizon offering clear prospects for a new contractual framework for the countries that aspire to have rapprochement and the most advanced integration with the EU.
