Moroccan parliamentary delegation in Washington to take part in 2nd GLOBE Climate Legislation Summit

In a statement to MAP, president of the Authenticity and Modernity group (PAM) in the House of Advisers Hakim Benchemach said that the participation of both houses of parliament, for the first time, at the two-day World Summit, organized at the initiative of "Globe International", is part of Morocco's contribution to global efforts to address the challenges related to climate change.

The Summit follows the 1st Climate Legislation Summit held in at the UK Foreign Office in London in January 2013. Hosted by Senator Markey, the Summit will see the launch of the Partnership for Climate Legislation between GLOBE, the United Nations and the World Bank.

Legislators from over 50 countries will receive the 4th edition of the GLOBE Climate Legislation Study of 66 countries.
