Lubiana (Slovenia) - Moroccan delegate-minister for foreign affairs and cooperation M'Barka Bouaida welcomed Slovenia's support to the UN efforts to reach a mutually acceptable settlement to the Sahara issue.

Bouaida who met on Monday in Lubiana Slovenia's deputy-premier and foreign minister Karl Erjavec called for strengthening political consultation between the two Mediterranean countries that share joint interests and for concluding cooperation agreements on political consultation, non-double taxation, tourism, culture and new technologies.

The Moroccan minister who took part in Bdro (30 km north of Lubiana) in the 3rd seminar on the Moroccan-Spanish initiative for mediation in the Mediterranean also hoped that the Slovenian foreign minister's scheduled visit to Morocco next June will lead to the signing of economic cooperation agreements and will be an opportunity for this former member of the disbanded Yugoslavian republic to prospect the African market where Morocco is present, especially in the fields of banking, telecoms and construction and public works.
