In a statement, the UNOCI said that 486 Ivorian nationals who took refuge in Liberia were repatriated last Thursday by the UN High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR).

The convoy including 22 trucks and two ambulances was secured by the Moroccan blue helmets at the Ivorian-Liberian border post "Pékan Barrage" until the transit center of Toulepleu, a village at the country's far west, the source said.

Active within the UNOCI since 2004, the successive Moroccan contingents are renown at the UN body for their peacekeeping professionalism and duty-bound attitude to serve the host country's national reconciliation.
