Moroccan Prime Minister in Tunisia for 2 day visit

Moroccan Prime Minister Abdelilah Benkirane arrived in Tunisia on Thursday on a two day visit to Tunisia.He was met at the airport by his Tunisian counterpart Hamadi Jebali and Finance Minister Houcine Demassi.

Mr Benkirane is accompanied by  Mr. Driss El Azami El Idrissi, Minister delegate to the Minister of economy and finance in charge of the budget, and Mr Mohamed el-Ouafa Minister of Education.

In a statement to the press he said that his visit was part of the strengthening of fraternity and economic relations between the two countries.

He commented that the Arab Maghre Union is an "inevitable destiny".

There are 19 Tunisian companies in the trade, industry, and service sectors in Morocco and Tunisia is currently host to 23 Moroccan in the industrial, agricultural, and banking sectors.

He announced that the next meeting of the Moroccan Tunisian Joint High Commission would be in Rabat on 15 June under the joint chairmanship of the two Prime Ministers.
