Moroccan People Celebrate on Wednesday 48th Birthday of HRH Prince Moulay Rachid

Rabat - The Royal Family and the Moroccan people celebrate, on Wednesday, the 48th birthday of HRH Prince Moulay Rachid, a happy occasion to revisit the various official activities undertaken by His Royal Highness in Morocco and abroad.

This joyful day is also an opportunity for the Moroccan people to express their heartfelt congratulations and best wishes of happiness and long life to HM King Mohammed VI, HRH Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan, HRH Prince Moulay Rachid, and the entire Distinguished Royal Family.

Born on June 20, 1970 in Rabat, HRH Prince Moulay Rachid successfully obtained, in May 1993, his Bachelor of Law (LL.B.) in economic and social law. The same year the Prince received his License to Practice Law – Public Law. The Prince completed his graduate studies and received a Master of Law (LL.M.) in Political Science.

HRH Prince Moulay Rachid graduated with a PhD in Law on May 18, 2001 from Montesquieu-Bordeaux IV University on "The Organization of the Islamic Conference: Study of a specific international organization" with merit and the jury's congratulations as well as with a special distinction for its publication, given the importance of the subject and the quality of the work.

Since 1997, HRH Prince Moulay Rachid chairs the National Federation of Moroccan Scouting, the Royal Moroccan Federation for Hunting Shotgun Shooting (FRMTAC), the Hassan II Golf Trophy Association (ATH) and the Marrakech International Film Festival Foundation (FIFM).

Among HRH's outstanding activities that marked the year 2017 there are: HRH Prince Moulay Rachid's representation of HM the King in the 29th AU Summit, and his reception of the Global Coalition for Hope prize "the Special Recognition Award for Leadership in the promotion of tolerance and cross-cultural rapprochement" granted to the monarch.
