Moroccan Field Hospital in Gaza Ready to Receive Patients and Injured (Chief Physician)
Gaza (Palestine) - The Moroccan medical-surgical field hospital set up by the Royal Armed Forces (FAR) in the Gaza Strip, on the High instructions of HM King Mohammed VI, is ready to receive Palestinian patients and wounded to provide the necessary care in the various specialties, said Colonel Ahmed Bounaïm, chief physician of this medical unit.
This hospital is ready with its staff, units and equipment to receive patients and wounded in the various specialties in order to provide them with the required medical care in better conditions, Colonel Bounaïm told MAP, shortly before the launch, Monday, of medical services.
The medical and paramedical staff, he stressed, will ensure that quality services and consultations are administered to the sick and injured in the various specialties, including general medicine, dentistry, emergency medicine, cardiology, ophthalmology, ENT, gynaecology-obstetrics, traumatology, pediatrics and radiology.
He added that the hospital now has a medical analysis laboratory, outpatient treatment rooms and emergency rooms, in addition to equipment for consultations and radiology, noting that this facility is likely to alleviate the suffering of Palestinians and make up for the deficit in the Gaza Strip in terms of health care benefits.
"Our objective is to guarantee the success of this humanitarian mission at all levels, pursuant to the High Royal instructions," noted the chief physician of the Moroccan field hospital in the Gaza Strip.
The medical and paramedical staff were distributed among the various outbuildings of the hospital based in the "Zahra" region in Gaza with the aim of providing care to beneficiaries in good conditions from Wednesday.
The Moroccan humanitarian aid for the Palestinian people arrived on Friday night in the Gaza Strip.
The hospital's medical and paramedical staff includes 13 doctors and 21 nurses working in different specialties.
This initiative testifies to the spirit of solidarity of the Kingdom of Morocco, under the leadership of HM the King, with brotherly and friendly countries as well as its concrete and effective support to the Palestinian people and their just cause.
On 29 May, HM King Mohammed VI personally chaired, supervised and launched the operation to deliver humanitarian aid to the brotherly Palestinian people at Casablanca international airport.
