Moroccan Bid to Host 2026 World Cup Ratified by FIFA Council
Moscow - Morocco's bid to host the 2026 football World Cup was ratified Sunday in Moscow by the FIFA Council and put forward to be voted for on 13 June.
Following the publication of the Bid Evaluation Report by the 2026 Bid Evaluation Task Force, the FIFA Council designated the two bids - the one submitted by the Moroccan Football Association, as well as the one jointly submitted by the Canadian Soccer Association, the Mexican Football Association and the United States Soccer Federation – to be voted on by the 68th FIFA Congress, FIFA said in a statement published on its website.
On Wednesday, 13 June, the FIFA Congress will determine whether to award the right to host the 2026 FIFA World Cup to one of the two candidates.
