The former head of Spanish diplomacy also noted that these Conferences and the International Exhibition of Agriculture in Morocco (SIAM) which is held in Meknes demonstrate a new approach to the food issue in a national, regional and international context.
He noted, in the same context, that food security has become a priority issue on the international political agenda, saying we can not talk about security in the 21st century without addressing the challenges posed by this question.
His Majesty King Mohammed VI presided, on Tuesday at Sahrij Souani Meknes, the opening of the sixth edition of the foundations of Agriculture ceremony, attended by the President of Gabon, Ali Bongo Ondimba.
These Assizes, held on the eve of the 8th edition of SIAM (April 24 to 28 in Meknes), are crucial for the agricultural sector and provide an opportunity to take stock of the national agricultural policy. It also allows domestic and foreign investors to set the blocking factors and ways to address them.
Take part in the 6th edition are more than 1,000 participants, including Moroccan and foreign operators, representatives of various sectors of agriculture, as well as the heads of the various departments and financial institutions.
