Mali: the Chadian army takes up position in Kidal
Chadian soldiers arrived Thursday, 31 January 31 in Kidal in northern Mali.

Inhabitants of the city have seen circulating in the streets Friday morning. The Chadians have taken up residence in a barracks in the city. Their mission is now to participate in the security of Kidal, alongside French soldiers stationed at the airport, and the Tuareg MNLA, RFI reports.
The MNLA had earlier refused to accept the presence of Malian troops in Kidal.
