MAP urged to invest more in human resources to become reference news agency

Rabat - Communication minister, government spokesperson Mustapha El Khalfi underlined, Saturday in Salé, the major reforms undertaken by Morocco's news agency (MAP) and urged it to invest more in human resources to enhance its position regionally and continentally.

"To maintain its place of leadership at the Arab, regional and continental levels, MAP is urged to strive doubly hard in diversifying products and supporting reforms under way by investing in human resources regarding training, promotion system and team work values," said the minister.

El Khalfi, who was speaking at a seminar on the project of revising MAP's status, said that this project seeks to boost the agency's productivity, internally and externally, through the setting up of a system of reference for jobs and competences, a system for performance assessment and the project of a new status.

Director general of MAP, Khalil Hachimi Idrissi, underscored the contribution of human resources in all enterprises' development strategies, saying that the program-contract, to be signed by MAP and the state, will put the agency on the right track of strategic development to become the 21st century agency on the Arab, African and Mediterranean scenes.
