MAP director : MAP regional poles called upon to be key actor in region development

Hachimi Idrissi, who addressed the 2nd seminar of the agency's regional bureaus, held under the theme "regional bureaus: challenges and experiences," said that MAP is "a strategic regional player with an international dimension."

He pointed out that the twelve regional poles provided for in the Strategic Plan must "stick to reality" in their respective regions and cover the various activities and events at the regional level, as well as institutional, economic and cultural events along with the activities of civil society.

The director explained that the sought goal is to "move from a centralized vision according to which the headquarters does everything and the periphery does less."

MAP "is trying to reverse this organization and we are hopeful that in the coming months" this system of regional poles will be put on track and bear fruit in terms of production both qualitatively and quantitatively, he said.
