Louardi takes part in 67th World Health Assembly in Geneva
Geneva - Minister of Health, El Houssaine Louardi took part on Monday in Geneva in the opening session of the 67th World Health Assembly, the highest decision-making body of the WHO.
During this six-day event, delegations from 194 Member States of the organization will discuss the major health issues, notably the prevention of Non-communicable diseases, the new global strategy against tuberculosis, and the post 2015 agenda. Member countries will also ponder on issues related to the fight against resistance to antimicrobial drugs, access to essential medicines, support for autistic patients, WHO reform, the progress of the Millennium Development Goals on health, and the relationship between climate and health, said the international body. Last Friday, Louardi met with director general of the World Health Organization, Margaret Chan, who paid tribute to Morocco for its drug policy which she described as " an excellent experience to share with other countries."
