Kuwait city: Benkirane stresses importance of 25th Arab Summit to defuse tensions in region
Kuwait-city - Head of government Abdelilah Benkirane underlined, on Monday in Kuwait-city, the importance of the 25th Arab Summit of the Arab League, scheduled Tuesday in the capital of Kuwait, to defuse tensions in the region and overcome differences between brotherly Arab countries.

In a statement to the press at his arrival to Kuwait, where he will represent HM King Mohammed VI in the 25th Arab Summit, the Head of government regretted the delicate juncture witnessed by the Arab Ummah, mainly the situation in the Palestinian-occupied territories and the Syrian crisis.
HM the King is convinced of the need to ensure the durability of the Arab League and strive, as part of a rational action led by all its members, to preserve and strengthen its achievements, promote the unity of the Arab Ummah and remedy all problems facing it, he added, stressing that this hinges on fostering Arab cohesion and settling the Palestinian issue and the Syrian crisis.
Benkirane was greeted at the Kuwait international airport by chairman of the ministers' council Sheikh Jaber Al Mubarak Al Ahmad Al Sabah, as well as other Kuwaiti officials and ministers.
