Karima El Mahroug denies having sex with Berlusconi and demands to be respected

Milan: The young Moroccan Karima El Mahroug, known as Ruby, at the heart of the trial for prostitutionof a minor and abuse of office against the former head of government Silvio Berlusconi, took issue Thursday, 4 April with the media and justice, accusing them of having "manipulated" her and demanded to be heard by judges and respected.

"The fault lies with the press which, to hit Silvio Berlusconi, has hurt me. I'm talking about those journalists who caused me violence by publishing wiretapping that concerned me. The same people who, by manipulating the truth, have made me what I am not: a prostitute, "she said.

"My suffering is the fault of those judges who, motivated by intentions that do not correspond to the values of justice, have given me the qualifier prostitute, although I have always denied having paid sex in especially with Silvio Berlusconi, "continued the young girl of 20 years.

Karima El Mahroug claimed therefore "to be heard by judges in Milan to tell the truth and prevent anyone insulting me for something I did not do."
