Interior minister stresses need to deal swiftly with complaints about pricey water and electricity bills in Tangiers region

Rabat - Interior Minister Mohamed Hassad underlined, on Monday, the need to deal swiftly and in a responsible way with complaints of citizens related to the pricey water and electricity bills in the Tangiers region to find appropriate solutions.

A statement by the Interior ministry said that, in implementation of measures taken to examine complaints by citizens related to the pricey water and electricity bills, the minister was informed, during a meeting on Monday at the headquarters of the Tangiers-Tétouan-El Hoceima region's wilaya, about the solutions proposed by the previous ministerial committee.

Hassad gave his firm instructions to the managers of Amendis, the company in charge of supplying water and electricity to the region, to carry out immediately the measures taken and make all arrangements to avoid such situation in the future, it said.

The meeting was attended by wali of the Tangiers-Tétouan-El Hoceima region, and Amendis' CEO and central and local managers.
