Illegal Immigration: Police Arrest 25 Sub-Saharan Nationals Near Dakhla
Rabat - Policemen foiled Monday morning an illegal immigration operation and arrested 25 Sub-Saharan would-be illegal immigrants, National Police (DGSN) said in a release. The would-be illegal immigrants were arrested on a beach near the southern city of Dakhla while they were about to leave aboard a boat. They were in possession of two boat engines and 540 liters of fuel, the source said.
An investigation was opened under the supervision of the relevant public prosecutor's office, while search operations are underway to arrest all the people involved in this criminal network, the source pointed out. This security operation is part of the ongoing efforts made by national police to fight against illegal immigration and human trafficking networks.
