The dancers wear a dress called "Takamest" and "Tamba"sandals and carry a sword in one hand and in the other a scarf.  The Women play drums with "Ganga" rhythms and  the warriors accompany the dancers singing the "Tissiouan", a traditional song.

The Sbeiba  festival of Djanet allows local tribes to  celebrate a peace pact signed by their ancient forbearers. This peace treaty between Oraren and Tar'Orfit meant the end of one of the longest fratricidal war in the history of the Ajjers tribes. As in Tamanrasset, where all the tribes of the Hoggar gathered around Aménokal their spiritual leader, to celebrate the traditional "Ziara"  and visit to the mausoleum of Moulay Abderrahmane, the "Sbeiba" of
Djanet allows local tribes to commemorate the peace pact during Ashura.

This event,  includes the ksour overlooking the town of Djanet, resulting in friendly rivalry between tribes and the
dances  are performed to the rhythm of tambourines, while warriors in full regalia, peform dances that recall their tribal origins and unity against the enemy.

The last act climaxes when the Tuareg warriors come face-to-face against the background ululating of women, trying to challenge and provoke their opponents. Then the wisemen  intervene to stop the war . The two tribes parade and eventually, after much haggling, the renew the peace pact signed by their ancestors.
