The same source continued that the president plans to deliver a "great speech to the Moroccan Parliament."

Atlas info.fr recalls that on May 24, 2012, HM King Mohammed VI was the first foreign head of state to be received at the Elysee Palace, just days after the election of François Hollande as President.

Following this meeting, the head of the French state had "welcomed the process of democratic reform, economic and social progress in the kingdom, at the initiative of King Mohammed VI." "France stands at the side of Morocco in the path it has chosen for economic modernisation and deepening the rule of law," stated the Elysee Palace said in a statement, noting that François Hollande had "reaffirmed the commitment and friendship between France and Morocco which highlighted its uniqueness through the many links between our two countries and our two companies and the common desire to build a Euro-Mediterranean area. "

The quality of this visit should dispel any speculation that had grown due to the fact that the French head of state has devoted his first visit to the Maghreb to Algeria. Speculation that Hollande's France considered refocusing its policy towards the Maghreb depends on Algiers and Rabat.
