Hillary Clinton visits Algiers on Monday
On October 30 in Algeria, the U.S. Secretary of State will consult with President Bouteflika on issues of bilateral and regional concern and will follow up the productive discussions on economic and security cooperation at the U.S-Algeria Strategic Dialogue held in Washington on October 19, a ststement fromthe State Department aid.

“Mali is one of the subjects that the secretary does want to talk to Algerian officials about, as well as the general issue of Al-Qaeda in the Maghreb,” State Department spokeswoman Victoria Nuland told reporters.
“I have seen the press reports today that the Government of Algeria seems to be more open to supporting the ECOWAS force,” Nuland said.
“And so we look forward to continuing that discussion when we’re there on Tuesday.”
The U.S. Secretary of State will then travel to the Balkans to demonstrate the enduring U.S. interest, commitment and support for its future in the European and Euro-Atlantic community. She will be joined by Baroness Catherine Ashton, the European Union’s High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, and Kosovo.
