Head of Govt. reaffirms Morocco's support for Libya to complete political transition

During a meeting with Libyan head of government Ali Zidane, attended by members of the Moroccan and Libyan cabinet, Benkirane highlighted the importance of dialogue, sharing viewpoints and reinforcing mechanisms of coordination and consultations between Morocco and Libya to foster the position of both countries and enable them to fulfill their natural role within regional and international bodies, in the light of world's rapid changes politically and economically.

He added that the government will shortly send a businessmen delegation to Libya, accompanied by government representatives, to examine means to carry out shared investment projects in all sectors and foster economic and trade partnership.

He said that political, economic and social challenges facing the Arab Maghreb countries require intensifying efforts bilaterally to boost a common Maghreb action in order to achieve the hope of the peoples in terms of progress and development.

He underlined that Maghreb countries are urged to work in an atmosphere of understanding and shared respect and think collectively about ways to overcome obstacles hindering the revitalization of the Maghreb Union.
