Head of Govt. meets in Rabat with President of Regional Government of Andalusia

Rabat - Head of government Abdelilah Benkirane met, on Friday in Rabat, with president of the Regional Government of Andalusia Susana Diaz Pacheco who is paying her first working visit to Morocco after taking office.

The meeting was an occasion to examine the different aspects of the relation of friendship and cooperation between Morocco and Spain, especially with the region of Andalusia, said a statement by the head of government's office, adding that both parties hailed the relations of good neighborliness which drives its strength from geographic closeness, shared history and cultural and economic complementarity.

Diaz expressed the will of the Government of Andalusia to strengthen its relations with Morocco at the different levels, given the political and social stability of the Kingdom and the significant opportunities offered by strategies and development projects mainly in agriculture and tourism industry, it added. Benkirane welcomed the promising prospects of the Moroccan-Spanish cooperation in general and with the Andalusian region in particular, emphasizing the need to work together to address common problems, enhance sustainable economic development, create job opportunities and broaden training programs.
