The talks turned on cooperation prospects and partnership to carry out joint development projects, the ministry said in a statement on Wednesday.

Accompanied by Mark Green, president of US Initiative for Global Development and Mounira Salem Murdoch, director of MCC-Morocco office, Weinberger hailed Morocco's efforts to ensure the partnership program success, mainly the huge role of the craft industry which posted a success rate of over 90%.

The success rate of programs related to the craft industry exceeded expectations, excluding the modernization program of ovens which stood at a rate of 60%, Kayouh said.

The minister commended Morocco's eligibility for a second compact MCA-Morocco thanks to the experience it gained.

The compact MCA-Morocco, worth 697.5 million dollars, was singed by the Kingdom and MCC in 2007 in Tétouan under the chairmanship of HM King Mohammed VI.
