German KfW grants Finea-CDG a financing line of 150 million Euros for SMEs

Rabat - A financing agreement was signed Wednesday between the Caisse de Depot et de Gestion (CDG), Finéa, a subsidiary of CDG, and the German development bank KfW, on the opening of a financing line of 150 million EUR dedicated to Moroccan Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs).
The new financing facility will provide additional financial resources according to specific standards and very favorable terms in order to facilitate SMEs' access to investments financing and working capital requirements and strengthen the capacity of "Finea Imédia", said the three signatories in a joint statement.

Capitalizing on the success of the first operation carried out in December 2013 for the amount of 200 million euros which has funded more than 2,100 SMEs through four partner banks, CDG Group and KfW are consolidating through this new financing line their relationship through strategic, sustainable and exemplary partnership for Morocco's economic and social development, the statement said.

A subsidiary of the CDG Group, Finea's main mission is to facilitate access to financing for businesses.

KfW Development Bank is the largest development bank of Germany. It is responsible for the implementation of Financial Cooperation between Germany and developing countries.
