Gala game: Maradona in Laayoune to take part in festivities of 40th Green March
Laayoune - Argentine professional footballer Diego Armando Maradona flew on Nov. 6 to Morocco, along with other football stars, to take part in the gala soccer game marking the 40th anniversary of the Green March.
At the Sheikh Mohamed Laghdaf stadium of Laayoune, Maradona, accompanied with Abedi Pelé, Abou Trika and George Weah, celebrated with joy this historic event.
It was the Argentinean legend who kicked off the game by scoring a curler after 10 minutes of the game.
Other players as Salah Eddine Bassir, Hajji, Said-Al-Aouirane and Nader Sayed also attended this match organized by the Moroccan royal football federation under the theme "citizenship and peace".
