Gaddafi's family members no longer in Algeria

Muamm'ar Gaddafi's widow Safia, his sons Hannibal and Mohamed and his daughter Aisha are no longer in Algeria according to Algeria's ambassador to Libya Abdel-Hamid Bouzaher. There is no information on their new location according to international media.

Aisha and Hannibal Gaddafi are wanted by Interpol following a request from the Libyan authorities, unlike a third child, Mohamed and his widow, Safia.They had sought refuge in Algeria in 2011 after the fall of Tripoli and Algeria allowed them toenter its territory "for humanitarian reasons". Aicha Gaddafi was forbidden to make statements to the press after she called on the ICC to investigate her father's death via a Syrian TV channel.
 

Abdel-Hamid Bouzaher said  said the family had left "a long time ago" without giving further details. Rumours about the departure of the Gaddafi family from Algeria first surfaced in Arab media in November, citing unnamed sources.This is the first confirmation from the Algerian side that the Gaddafi's have left Algeria. Saadi Gaddafi  remains in Niger.

Saif al-Islam is facing trial in Libya, Gaddafi's other sons Muatassim and  Khamis were killed in the fighting during the conflict.
