Paris - The spectrum of collaboration prospects between France and Morocco in the food-processing industry are very broad, said, Monday in Paris, agriculture and sea fisheries minister Aziz Akhannouch, underlining that joint interests of both countries are very important.

The common interests between our two countries concerning food industry are very important and require greater synergies from our professionals, said Akhannouch who was speaking at the opening of the Moroccan-French food-processing industry meeting held under the theme "Investment in France and Morocco".

He also called for the development of trade and investments of French companies in Morocco and that of Moroccan companies in France, noting that the Kingdom is a platform to enter the African continent as a whole and the French-speaking area in particular, given the policy of bringing states closer economically, led in recent years under the leadership of HM King Mohammed VI. The minister said that the Moroccan agricultural sector has undergone deep reforms and sustained development since 2008 with the launch of the Moroccan Green Plan, noting that the agricultural GDP jumped late 2012 by more than 32 pc, in addition,all production branches increased by 43 pc.
