FM chairs first meeting in preparation for 5th Global Entrepreneurship Summit

On the occasion, Mezouar lauded the selection of Morocco as a host country which reflects the active role Morocco plays in the overall economic development of the African continent, and the Kingdom's leadership in supporting entrepreneurship, and the integration of youth and women into the economy.

 

The minister underlined the need to ensure the success of this important event which will be held under the High patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, under the theme "Harnessing the Power of Technology for Innovation and Entrepreneurship".

 

Minister delegate for foreign affairs Mbarka Bouaida gave a presentation on the different organizational aspects of the Summit. She also underlined that the 2014 Global Entrepreneurship Summit will bring together over 3000 entrepreneurs, along with heads of State, high level government officials, global entrepreneurs, small-medium enterprises (SME's), corporate leaders, and young entrepreneurs from around the globe.

 

The different participants reiterated their departments' readiness to carry out their duties and agreed to meet regularly to finalize preparations for the Summit.

 

The meeting was attended mainly by the economy minister, the minister delegate for interior, the head of Economic, Social and Environmental Council, and the CEO of Maroc Telecom.
