FM Praises Strong Bahraini-Moroccan Ties

Moroccan Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation Salaheddine Mezouar praised, here Sunday, the strong Bahraini-Moroccan relations, stressing the keen interest of HM King Mohammed VI in reinforcing ties with Bahrain.

The Manama Declaration, which was issued following the first Ministerial Meeting of the Arab-India Cooperation Forum, held Sunday in Manama, represents a concrete foundation for building strong and credible relations between the Arab world and India, Mezouar told Bahrain News Agency (BNA).

He highlighted that holding such forums contributes to supporting global balances and protecting the unity and independence of States, as well as to the development and stability of nations.

He said the forum discussed the mutual cooperation required in the fight against terrorism, as well as dialogue among civilizations and its importance in contributing to maintaining international peace and stability. More topics were discussed, including supporting the Palestinian cause and the importance of peace and nuclear issues necessary for promoting security and stability in the region.

Mezouar added that the forum also discussed the topic of development and exchange of expertise needed for strengthening relations between Arab countries as a fundamental power in the global system and India as a rising power in the world.
