El Otmani: François Hollande's speech in parliament reflects a desire to develop bilateral relations

Rabat - The speech of French President François Hollande before both Houses of the Moroccan Parliament in joint session, indicates a strong desire to develop bilateral relations, said the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, Saad El Dine Otmani.

In a press statement after the meeting, the minister said that the speech of the head of the French state also reaffirmed the position of France and the strength of old ties between the two countries, as well as determination to develop them further.

 

According to Mr. El Otmani, the emphasis on economic, social and cultural aspects, gave a high dimension to this visit, "which is not only formal and political, but a real working visit that is sure to greatly boost bilateral relations. "

 

"When Mr. Hollande repeated, clearly, the constant position of France on the Sahara issue, there is a new dimension, namely the security aspect, given the threats to the Sahel, Sahara and northeastern Mali, "noted the Minister.

 

And add in this connection that the security situation in the region makes, more than ever urgent resolution of this artificial conflict, which requires the joint efforts of the international community.
