The celebration by Moroccans of Aid Al Mawlid stems from their deep veneration for his noble person and their commitment to authentic values and higher ideals of Islam.

The commemoration of the feast rich symbolic and spirituality is also an opportunity for the nation, in its religious dimension, to take stock of its conduct and behaviour, individually and collectively, in connection with the precepts of Islam and moral values ​​which it calls for in  the torchbearer and the Seal of the Prophets, Muhammad Sidna.
 
 
Thus, the Moroccans and their head Commander of the Faithful, King Mohammed VI, a descendant of the Prophet, take this opportunity to revive their loved one in an atmosphere of spirituality and pure devotion, including the organization of meetings dedicated to reading the Holy Qur'an, the study of its verses, Madih in declamation and recitation of the Prophet's tradition, but also religious processions, parties of Dikr in mosques and in Moussems the Zaouias through all regions of the Kingdom.
 
Not departing from the tradition, King Mohammed VI, Commander of the Faithful, has always  celebrated each year, this blessed occasion, following the example of his glorious ancestors, to commemorate the memory of their grandfather, the Prophet Sidna Mohammad, whose birth was heralded by the advent of a nation that will forever remain the nation's best known to mankind, because it promotes virtue and combat vice.
 
As such, the Moussem  of candles for Sidi Abdallah Benhassoun, held annually under the patronage of HM King Mohammed VI in the Tariqa (Zaouia) Hassouniya in the city of Salé,  celebrates the anniversary of the birth of  the Seal of the Prophets and is an authentic Moroccan tradition which reflects not only the commitment of the Moroccan people to its heritage, but also the sublime reverence reserved by Slaouis for the Prophet and his family.
 
On the eve of Eid after the prayer of Al Asr, the procession of candles, which leaves the place where the candles are made with multiple colours, travels the streets of the city towards the Mausoleum of Sidi Abdallah Benhassoun. The same evening, after the traditional "dance of the candle", a unique pace of Andalusian music, the candles are lit in an atmosphere of songs Samaa. Head by  Chorfa Hassouniyine, who is followed by candle holders and accompanied by folk bands and Sufi troupes .
 
If the events organized on this occasion differ from one city to another and from one region to another, there are  however factors and aspects common to all celebrations, including the use of torches and candles, as well as the traditional costumes worn by all to go to the mosques and on visits to family and friends. Religious vigils are also needed, as well as outings and trips with family and children.
 
The occasion also takes a particular social character, marked by the exchange of family visits and meetings in the pure Moroccan tradition, with all its ritual and culinary richness. Other customs associated with this celebration just entrench the values ​​of authenticity of Moroccan culture, and especially to convey the spirit resulting in generations, whose great cleaning of  houses and painting of facades and doors.
 
In conclusion, the celebration of the birthday of the Prophet Mohammed Sidna remains a genuine illustration  that Moroccans certainly love him  Moroccans, but also an expression par excellence of the authenticity of a heritage deeply rooted in  history.
