Egyptian film "El Khouroudj li nahar" wins Golden Lion award at 6th Arab Film Festival of Oran

The film "El Khouroudj li nahar" (coming forth by day), by Egyptian Hala Lotfy won the "Wihr d’or" (Golden Lion) at the 6th Arab Film Festival in Oran (FOFA), which came to a close Saturday evening, during a ceremony organized at the "Mohamed Benahmed Conventions Centre .

The award for best short film was awarded to Sidi Boumediene Amine for "AlDjazira" (Island).
 
Twelve feature films and 14 short films were nominated for one of the awards of this festival. The jury of the "feature-length film" was chaired by Professor Hadj Meliani, University of Mostaganem, while the short film jury was chaired by the young Algerian filmmaker and producer Mounes Khamar.

The prize for best achievement in filmwas awarded to "Yema" directed by Djamila Sahraoui Algeria, while the Special Jury Prize returned to movie "Lamma chouftek" (When I saw) by the Palestinian filmmaker Anne-Marie Jacir.
 
Twelve Arab countries participated in the festival.
