President Mohammed Morsi congratulated Egyptians for endorsing a new constitution which he signed into being and urged all parties to join him in a national dialogue.

Some 63% backed the constitution in the controversial two round  referendum but the opposition led by the National Salvation Front have criticised the result.The President renewed the call for dialogue. He also highlighted the critcal state of the economy. He said the passing of the constitution was an historic day for Egypt. Elections now have to be held in two months time.






President Mohamed Morsi revealed on Wednesday he is in talks with Prime Minister Hisham Qandil over possible changes to the cabinet, refuting claims that a new premier would be installed in the near future.

Rumours had circulated that the Muslim Brotherhood's Khairat El-Shater might be a candidate for the post.


In another development one hundred and fifty leading members withdrawal from Salafist Nour Party, following the alleged resignation of party leader Emad Abdel-Ghafour,Al Ahram reported. others denied that h had resigned. The salafst Al Nouris the second largest party in the Shura Council and has been an ally of the Muslim Brotherhood's Freedom and Justice Party (FJP). Despite the president's call the divisions in Egyptian politics remain.
