ESAV Marrakech in Top 15 of International Film Schools

ESAV is ranked besides the most prestigious talent training institutions in countries such as Australia, China, Mexico, Italy, Germany, Czech Republic, Russia, France, Poland, England and Austria.

"This up-and-coming school offers a scholarship program targeting talent in sub-Saharan Africa", notes The Hollywood Reporter, which, along Variety, constitute the main magazines of the cinema industry.

Founded in 2006, ESAV offers Bachelor's and Master's degree level courses for Moroccan and international students in directing, editing, image and sound.

Marrakech's ESAV film school enrolls 30 students a year for a 3-year course. 70 pc of students are from Morocco, but the other 30 pc includes students from the UK, France, Spain and Africa.

95 pc of lectures are provided by visiting professors, who simultaneously work in some of Europe's top film schools, including the Femis and Louis Lumiere schools in France and INSAS in Belgium.

The school's teaching program has helped launch a new generation of young helmers and hopes to establish a re-birth to the Moroccan film industry, screening approximately 40 feature films a year by the year 2020.
