Drais Reaffirms Morocco's Position to Fight Terrorism

El Jadida - Minister Delegate to the Minister of Interior, Drais Cherki, reaffirmed, Tuesday in El Jadida, the consistent position of Morocco, under the leadership of HM King Mohammed VI, to support the international community in its efforts to fight terrorism.

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the inaugural conference of the Moroccan-US Border Security Initiative (BSI), Drais reiterated the commitment of the Kingdom of Morocco related to the adoption of the United Nations Global Counter-Terrorism Strategy, initiated in September 2006.

Moroccan authorities expressed their resolve to share their expertise in the field of counter terrorism and organized and cross border crime with all organizations, international forums and friendly countries, he noted.

Morocco, he said, has adopted a multidimensional strategy covering the institutional, economic, socio-cultural, educational, religious and media areas, in a logic of the fight against terrorism by human development and strengthening the rule of law.
