Dimajazz: 10th edition from 14-23 June at Constantine
The Cultural Festival International Jazz Constantine, Dimajazz, scheduled from June 14 to 23, will blow this year its tenth edition candle with a program in two parts, an international program and a fringe festival at the Malek Haddad Palace of Culture-for young local groups.

For its tenth anniversary the festival is providing a rich and varied artistic program covering all styles of jazz
with nearly a dozen countries represented.
Within the scope of the festivities of the fiftieth anniversary of the independence of Algeria, the 10th Dimajazz foresees the participation of Algerian artists, like the Algerian-French quartet "Mourad Benhammou and jazz workers", programmed by the opening , and jazz violinist Kheireddine M'kachiche will accompany the lutenist and Tunisian composer Dhafer Youssef on June 20.
America, the birthplace of jazz, will be represented by Andy Narell, Ambassador Steel-drum (steel drum), and Nicole Slack Jones, regarded as the spiritual daughter of the queen of soul Aretha Franklin.
Coming from further afield, ethno-jazz formations represented by India, Ivory Coast and Cuba as the "Afreecanos quartet" of the Cuban Omar Sosa.
European jazz will not be outdone for this anniversary edition with ten French troops, Italian, Belgian, Serb or mixed, in collaboration with training or Algerian or Tunisian musicians.
Alongside the festival organizers plan to hold a fringe festival, a tradition of Dimajazz unavoidable for some years.
Standing in the open air June 16 to 20, this small festival is an encouragement to local groups in different regions of Algeria.
Founded in 2003 by the Limma Association, Dimajazz has brought together the biggest names in the jazz world like the American Boney Fields, pianist Malian Cheick Tidiane Seck and the Nigerian Keziah Jones, while remaining a springboard for Algerian training as Sinoudj, Madar and Aminoss.
